Charity - Loved God and God's children  / Doyle Alldredge
I never knew Charity but I know if I had, I would have received a blessing by having her as a friend. I know she loved her God and her family. When asked to do a poem for her  to be on a heartprint, all I knew was she loved God and family. I had a picture of her too. As I wrote this poem I could feel her as if she was hepling me to put in words a message for her family and friends. Yes I never knew her but I feel we are friends.

I miss looking over at Charity during choir rehearsals and performances and seeing her bright, smiling face...it was truly infectious and contagious! I especially miss her "raspberries" and her bewilderment with my son's drum accompaniment! I can't help but smile right now while thinking about 'my friend Charity' who also was very special to my late Mom, who passed away almost three years ago, and who Charity so unselfishly spent time with during her last days. Thank you Charity. Close

She was special in all of our hearts.  / Marvel Smith (Cousin)

Charity is truly missed. She always brought joy and laughter to everyone she knew. Charity had the most beautiful heart that shined. It broke my heart when I heard of her passing. When I think of Charity I have only good memories of her and I loved her very much. I only wish I had more time with my cousin Charity.

My Inspiration  / Mikelyn McCord (Friend)
There are so many things that I can say about my friend, but what comes to mind most often is inspiring.  Charity's conviction, determination, and loving nature continues to inspire me daily.  We would sit on the phone pretty much everyday (long distance) talking about everything, but playing the piano was the topic of most conversations.  There have been times when things just weren't going right at church in the music ministry with me.  I often wanted to quit.  Had my resignation ready!  But just the thought of Charity made me see things differently and decide that there was a better way.  'Stay the course.'  I thank God for sending such a beautiful person in my life.  I think of Charity each and everyday!  'I love you Charity and miss you terribly.  Just save a seat for me!' Charity was one of a kind.  There was never a time when I would ever see her unhappy or in a bad mood.  She always wore a smile on her face.  And if others around her were having a bad day, she would bring a ray of sunshine just to make their life a little bit brighter.  I knew Charity for a long time and she has not only had a positive impact on my life but my kids lives as well.  You are greatly missed and thought about often.  Rest In Peace. My Girl  / Stacie Potts-Jackson (Good Friend )
What can I say about my girl...actually what can I not say.  God placed Charity in my life for a reason.  She lived life to the fullest and by example.  She never allowed you to have a bad day in her presence.  No matter what kind of day she was having she'd put her own feelings aside and focus on you.  Her laughter and happiness were contagious.  I still think about things from years....years ago and crack up laughing.  I will forever keep Charity near my heart.  "Auntie-Mama" Lynn and "Uncle-Daddy" Charles, thank you for sharing Charity with us and thank you God for allowing me to be blessed by Charity's presence, then, now, and forever. A Good Friend  / LaTonya McQueen (College Friend )  Read >>
A Good Friend  / LaTonya McQueen (College Friend )
My name is LaTonya McQueen and I am an old friend of Charity's.  I attend Paine College with her back in 1995 but I later left losing contact with all my old college buddies.  It was by the grace of GOD I got back in contact with Takeitha Slocumb and was able to later get in contact with Charity before her passing.  It's funny because the most precious memory I have of Charity was our last time spent together at the ATL airport back in 1996, leaving school for the semester.  We sat at the airport for 8 hours singing old Stevie Wonder songs and playing cards with some of the other people waiting for flights to leave as well.  By the time we looked up there were homeless people sitting around us singing those old tunes, while we played cards through the rest of the night.  That night  brought back the good ole days (even though Im really not that old to remember those days), but those were the days everyone remembered.  Those last memories spent with Charity at the airport I will always keep near to my heart.  Charity was always a beautiful person and thats what stood out the most about her.  She has always touched me deep to my heart, and thats one reason why I loved her so.  I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family.  There's one more angel looking down over us Close

Lynne and Charles,

I've known you both so long!  And Lynne, you have been one of my dearest friends since forever.  I wish I had known Charity better, but what I did know of her brightened my life.  Lynne, she had your sparkle!  Charles, you're a good man.  And blessed man to have such a wonderful family.
It won't be long until we're all reunited with our loved ones and our Lord!  Hallelujah!  "We're going to see the King!"  And Charity!  And Mrs. Wiggins.  And my Dad.  And so many more...Praise the Lord! Close
